Our Story

Some stories are written long before you realize they’ve begun.

In September 2025, despite living in different cities, we matched on a dating app in Montreal. We met for coffee the very next day. Somewhere between conversations about work and life, we discovered something neither of us could have imagined: Rupal had been one of the wedding coordinators at Amit’s sister’s wedding thirteen years earlier. What we thought was our first meeting was, in fact, the continuation of a story that had quietly begun years before.

Maybe that’s the invisible string theory—that the people meant to find each other are connected long before they ever realize it. In that moment, two completely different chapters of our lives suddenly became one story.

Long distance quickly became our normal. Every couple of weeks, one of us would board a flight, collecting memories across cities and countries—from Boston and Chicago to Montreal, Berlin, Malaga, and Marrakech. Every trip made us more certain that we had found exactly what we had been looking for.

In May 2026, we got engaged in Barcelona with the breathtaking La Sagrada Familia as our backdrop. It felt especially meaningful, as 2026 also marks the long-awaited completion of the basilica after 144 years of construction—a beautiful reminder that some of life’s greatest things are worth waiting for.

And now, our journey brings us to Marrakech, where we’ll begin our next chapter together on January 30, 2027.

What started as a wedding in 2012 has become our own love story—and we can’t wait to celebrate it with all of you.
